As a student governor, I was invited to a special event in our college. CWC had its official opening yesterday, and I can assure you that the event was amazing. There was balloons flying everywhere, music, food, red lights, and even performing arts students performing 'Chicago'.
We had many honourable guests visiting our college and the fact that I had the opportunity to talk with them made me very cheerful. I made precious contacts and my photographer took a lot of 'buddy'- pictures of me and some very important people in United Kingdom.
City of Westminster College Chair of Governors Stuart Taylor, Principal Keith Cowell and Lord Victor Adebowale CBE and a Crossbench Peer.
Tony Cohen is now my ultimate idol! He is not only Chief Executive Officer of FremantleMedia, one of the world’s largest international creators, producers and distributors of leading prime time entertainment, but he is also very down-to-earth person, very lovely and probably the friendliest person you could ever meet from entertainment industry.
Applause for our Governors: Shanaka Dias (Vice Chair), Stuart Taylor (Chair), Andy Cole (Board Member; Governor), David Pigden (Deputy Principal), Diana Driscoll (Board Member; Governor), Pat Squires (Vice Principal Curriculum & Quality), Amanda Thorneycroft (Finance Director), Nick Martin (Board Member; Governor), Alex Fyfe (External Governor), Itah Leavy...
The sparkling diamond - Judith Boardman. Wonderful woman; someone to truly look up to!
Margaret Doyle is a financial commentator, moderator and broadcaster. She frequently reviews the papers on the BBC and Sky News, and appears daily on LBC's Morning News. I knew her before this event and it was such an honour to meet her in person!
Events and Membership manager Jack Haines and Board Director Elizabeth Crowther-Hunt from Westminster Business Council.
Me with lovely ladies; Raffaella Cuccia (Head of Strategic Communications) and Libby Norman (Press Officer)!
Enchanting Barry Tucker was beyond fascinating. With his artistic attitude, you would think that this man would be the chair man of rock n' roll- genre rather than the chair man of Euro Car Parks! Either way, he is an extraordinary person.
Last but not least - Richard Beech - my lovely friend and savior! Whether the road is up or down, he is always hard-working, ambitioned and always there to support!
Overall the evening was impeccable. It was very pleasant to meet all these intriguing people, and I hope to keep in touch with them. Hopefully everyone had as much fun as I did! ♥
I also want to inform all my beautiful readers about my diverse college. I have studied there almost for two years now and to be honest... all I can say is that the college has offered me so much. It has opened me many doors as a student, as a friend, as a governor. All the staff are professional, all the students are determined. I found the environment very pleasant to study in and I hope to work with these people in the future, as well.
Since my love towards the City of Westminster College is so high, I created an appreciation club- page on Facebook. Everyone who shares this interest, please do like the page! Thanks!
